No list, no Board Lab Squamish

Coming soon · Squamish

Board-only climbing.
24/7 access. Built for training.

Kilter/Moon-style boards, a legit lifting area, and no birthday parties. A dedicated training space for Squamish climbers who are over crowded gyms.

We’ll only email you about this project. If demand is strong enough we build it; if not, we don’t.

Why this gym exists

Ground Up is slammed, the Co-op is full, and Squamish Athletic Club is busy. We’re building the thing that’s missing: a dedicated training space for climbers, not an everything-for-everyone gym.

01
Too busy everywhere else
When every session feels like a competition for wall space, progress slows. This is designed for intentional sessions, not chaos.
02
Boards, not birthday parties
Kilter/Moon-style boards, spray-style options and training tools. No party bookings, just climbing and weights.
03
Train when you actually can
24/7 keyless entry through an app so you can train before work, after night shifts, between weather windows—whenever your life allows.

What you’ll find inside

Details may shift with the final space, but this is the blueprint we’re working from.

Climbing & boards
A compact footprint fully dedicated to boards and training.
  • 3–4 LED training boards (Kilter/Moon/Tension-style), adjustable angles.
  • Commercial pads and proper fall zones.
  • Open layout so it still feels social when people want that.
Strength & conditioning
Strength tools and weights.
  • 1–2 squat racks, barbells, bumpers, dumbbells, kettlebells.
  • Pull-up bars, hangboards, campus rungs, bands.
  • Space to do full warm-ups and accessories without getting in the way.
Access & vibe
This is a training facility first. Everything else is built around that.
  • 24/7 keyless entry via app or key fob once you’re onboarded.
  • Limited staff hours—self-serve, community-respected space.
  • Clean, simple industrial design.
  • Clear etiquette so everyone can get the work done.
Who it’s for
If some of these sound like you, you’re exactly who we’re building this for:
Outdoor climbers training for projects People tired of crowded gyms Board nerds & data-driven climbers Anyone who wants strong fingers & power

Quick questions

A few honest answers based on where the project is at right now.

Where will it be?
We’re currently looking at industrial / flex spaces in the Squamish business park (Queens Way / Discovery Way area). The exact address depends on demand and lease terms.
When would it open?
We’re in planning and funding mode. The waitlist will get realistic timelines first if we move ahead—no “coming in 3 months” promises.
How much will a membership cost?
Final pricing isn’t set yet. Expect something in normal climbing gym range for unlimited 24/7 access, with potential discounts for “Founding Members” in year one.
Will there be classes and coaching?
The core is a self-directed training space: boards + weights. We may host the odd clinic or collab, but we’re not building a class-heavy, full-service gym.

Want this in Squamish?

We’re using this list to decide if we build it, how big it should be, and which boards to install first.

No commitment yet, just interest.
